Star In The Mud
When we started, we were naked in the mud and endless rain. We arrived in desperation, recognising the absolute limitation of existential experience. There was one way out: imagination. We had vision to improve our situation.
Later came seeds of an ecology which grew resources. Fruit for our hunger. Wood for a shelter and warmth. Grass for our weaving. The ecology separated us from the mud and from the rain by providing a canopy and floor beneath. We began to gain. Incrementally at first, until our thirst, wild as the day born, accelerated technology and complexity.
Applying structure to the wild, which by its nature fights for freedom, to expand against the chains. What once was our middle world, the safety layer, became stepped in diverse tiers of a hierarchy. Sometimes top-heavy, it fell. Only to begin again, building now from the ashes of its own ruin.
This cycle repeated until the cycle became normality. Something which makes sense in the chaos of the wild. We enjoy the stability of recognising even cycles of instability. Comforting patterns in chaos, as we adapt to conformity.
It falls as we give action to become the change, when once again confronted by the limitations of our existentialism. Once again we turn to imagination as a way out of this predicament of being self-aware. At those moments when we truly are.
Through the cycles of progressive development we seek ways to tame the wild which both empowers us and from which we seek to escape. That feeling of helplessness, which is despair when we are not in control.
Here is born a gentle philosophy of acceptance, contrasted against domination and restriction. The peace and freedom of accepting things are the way they are. To balance the struggle with the wild. To control and yet to not be controlled.
To expand imagination, that there be more freedom in our experiences. To do safely what the wild, through us, will. With no consequence or repercussion. No recrimination.
The awareness of harmony within the hierarchy, where each cycle explores various creeds. Philosophy growing from the basic tenets of our collective experience. Every nuanced path is explored. Every crack expanded to a portal.
With the dualistic taming, the wild seeks evermore expansion as it flees despair. We call that thing hope. A way out. A light at the end of darkness. A star to guide us.
The journey between here and there, without needing to travel the distance between here and there. The immediacy of unification with all things in blissful ecstasy. A holistic harmony. And not the agony of segregation, isolation, which we individually must overcome to find our purpose.
By what each of us can do about it, when we dare.
