Statement Regarding Sylvia Woodham / Elizabeth Ferguson
By SnakeAppleTree | 17 April 2025
I am making this statement to clarify my position regarding recent events involving Sylvia Woodham who, according to her Kickstarter profile, is also known as Elizabeth Ferguson of Arlington, VA. She has previously claimed to reside in East Germany.
On 16 April 2025, Ms. Woodham launched a Kickstarter project titled Where Connections Lead, which publicly claims to promote writing by disabled individuals. While the premise of the project appears virtuous, I believe it is important for the community to be aware of ongoing misconduct behind the scenes.
I have a professional diagnosis of Autism. Since November 2024, Ms. Woodham has engaged in a sustained pattern of cyberbullying against me, including what I believe constitutes a targeted hate campaign. Multiple individuals have independently contacted me to report that she has been privately messaging others with defamatory falsehoods intended to discredit and isolate me within professional circles.
Her behavior appears to be retaliatory. I removed Ms. Woodham from my community project, SL Writers Short Story Collection, due to her repeated misconduct. Namely, selective inclusion, bullying contributors to support her personal agenda, and attempting to undermine the integrity of a project I had explicitly declared open and inclusive to all writers. This was followed by deceptive actions including misinformation, attempts at industrial sabotage, and the initiation of a harassment campaign across multiple platforms.
I have published evidence of these actions. The materials speak for themselves, and I affirm that all claims I make here are verifiable.
My legal counsel has confirmed that I have grounds for a case of harassment based on the documented evidence. Ms. Woodham has since attempted to shield herself through anonymity, alleging that I pose a danger to her. The only “danger” I present is my capacity to take legal action supported by factual evidence. Her insistence on anonymity appears strategic, designed to evade legal accountability for her actions.
Ms. Woodham is currently soliciting digital signatures for her project while simultaneously presenting herself as a victim to gain uncritical support and sympathy. Unfortunately, several individuals within the writing industry have accepted her narrative at face value, and some have participated in the campaign of harassment.
One particularly serious incident involved one of her associates publicly accusing me of predatory behavior involving minors. It is a baseless and damaging claim. Disturbingly, my bank account was compromised and funds were removed. The following day, Ms. Woodham posted on Twitter referencing her “hacker friends” and making statements that connected these events. This constitutes potential evidence of organized harassment and financial fraud.
Given the gravity of these incidents, I feel a duty to the writing community to issue a warning: Do not share your personal information, financial data, or digital signatures with Ms. Woodham without due diligence. Her previous actions raise serious concerns about trust, transparency, and legality.
Please evaluate any claims she makes against me in light of this statement and the supporting evidence I have made publicly available. Based on my experience and the documented actions, I consider her a manipulative individual with a history of exploitative and potentially criminal behavior.
I share this statement not out of malice, but out of responsibility to protect others from being misled or harmed in the way I have been.
