Here, finally, is a place
I can create
Ideas and imagination
I have not ability to
In real life
Cannot find or afford to hire
Willing participants
To make the art
I feel driven to make
Deep longing to create
For my whole life
Post-puberty
This idea that
‘The creative adult is the child who survived’
No child dreams such dreams as I aspire
Nor should they know of such things
Although SL art is inspirational
I do not want to do
What other SL artists are doing
Mimicry is flattery and plagiarism
For the artist pioneering newness
